Things can be created in Google Sketch up and placed in Google Earth. Both programs are free.
Google Earth Pro - expensive - allows you to export video.
Timeline is a new feature in Google Earth.
Teach students to put placemarks on the Earth.
You can attach a timeline to your placemarks by putting a little extra in the code. You can get the placemark code by right clicking the placemark.
